Question: 
I entered a new security and made a mistake. I didn't notice this mistake until sometime later.
The symbol and the company name are both incorrect. My question is How do i change the symbol and name company name without deleting the record
and starting over?

Answer:
Use the Security Information window to change information about a security.  To use first go to the main menu and click "Options" then  click on "Security" Information" You can then edit information about the security IE symbol name and more

Question:
I bought a new computer and would like to transfer my Investrak program to my new computer, how would I achieve this?

Answer:
Reinstall Investrak from our website at www.investrak.com.
Once installed enter the registration code we provided you by email.
make sure you make a backup of your existing portfolio. You
can use a UBS  drive  to restore it to the new PC.
Choose the restore menu option.
If you lose the registration code please contact us by email and we will provide another.


Question:
I'm upgrading Investrak portfolio from a previous version
how would I do this. I cannot even imagine losing any data?

Answer:
Investrak should automatically convert your account to the new format.
You can Use windows explorer.

copy the file to your investrak installed account directory. example c:\program files\Investrak7\Investrak portfolio\myname\investrak.mdb If you can read the file using windows explorer  then copy the file to your investrak installed account directory. example c:\program files\Investrak7\Investrak portfolio\myname\investrak.mdb make sure you rename your account from
myname_invtrak to investrak.mdb after you move it to the proper folder. The new version of investrak should convert the account automatically for you when you click on it.
 
Question:
I'm anxious to download the demo version of your investrak software, but the download link doesn't work!  Tried it on 3 different computers at the office.  Can you let me know what's wrong?  Please get back to me - in desperate need of some decent portfolio management software.

I noticed that when i added a cash interest transaction the window
that popped gave a n error message and I could not enter the transaction.
Answer:
The problem has recently been corrected with a new update
version 3.0.1.0

Date time sort issue I  noticed that when i sort by date and have more than 4 trades in one day the sort was out of order.

Question:
Will I be able to use my old account with the new version Investrak 7..
Answer:
Yes your old account will transfer over. You just need to copy it to the same folder that your using
for your current account..

Can I download my trades from my favorite brokerage firm?

Answer:
There is a utility in coming that will
allow you to download your trades from Excel to investrak. Most brokerage firms
support downloading to Excel or CVS format. This tool is currently in Beta testing
and used at corporate..
